To obtain VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare award, you will need to complete the following three units:

• Facial Massage and Skincare 
• Health, Safety and Hygiene of the workplace 
• Client Care, Communication and Salon Reception Duties

This course is delivered as follows:

• Day 1: Practical Training (9:45am - 5:30pm)
• Day 2: Practical Training (9:45am - 5:30pm)
• Day 3: Practical Observations (9:45am - 5:30pm)

Once you have completed the schedule, you will be set e-learning for the three core units of study in the course, which you will be able to complete at your own pace. Each will include a written assignment for completion. Once you have completed your e-learning and written assignments you will need to sit a final exam online to fully complete your training programme to become qualified.

What will you learn from this course?

The course covers a wide range of topics, including contra-indications and contra-actions, anatomy and physiology related to the skin, face, scalp, and neck, and skin analysis, skin types, and conditions. You'll also learn how to perform essential skincare techniques, such as skin cleansing, toning, exfoliation, moisturising, steam, and extraction.

Moreover, you'll learn how to provide face, neck, and shoulder massages and apply masks to address different skincare concerns. You'll also receive guidance on how to advise clients and provide them with the best possible skincare routines.

To ensure you're making progress, our continuous assessments include practical assessments, oral questions, tests, and written assignments. You'll provide evidence to determine whether you've reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. All of these assessments will be included in a portfolio that you'll receive upon completion of the course.

Career options for skincare experts are vast, with options to work for spas, hotels, cruise ships, and clinics worldwide. This course also gives you all you need to run your own skincare business or seek employment as a skincare expert in the retail cosmetic industry.

The VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skin Care Course is a fast track 5-day course, combined with E-learning, that is designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the beauty industry

The course is open to students aged 18 and over, no previous experience is required. A good basic education and command of the English language are essential

• 2 Days Intensive Practical Training
• 2 Facial & Skincare Exams
• 1 Day Of Practical Assessments

The course covers a wide range of topics including facial massage and skincare, health, safety and hygiene of the workplace, and client care, communication, and salon reception duties. It also includes topics like contra-indications and contra-actions, anatomy and physiology related to the skin, face, scalp, and neck, and skin analysis, skin types, and conditions

The Cosmetic College provides training to students in various ways, including in-person training at the campus by tutors in fixed size groups and online training modules. The in-person training days include professional live treatment demonstrations as well as practical sessions for students to gain experience​

Upon completion of the course, students will receive a VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Facial and Skin Care, which is widely recognised by employers across the UK​
