Terms & Conditions
General Terms
Cosmetic College offers flexible training methods to suit diverse learning needs, including in-person, virtual, and online training. These Terms and Conditions apply to all training formats.
Copyright
All course materials are the intellectual property of Cosmetic College. Unauthorised sharing, copying, or publication of these materials is prohibited and may result in legal action. All training manuals, materials, pictures, videos or any website content and anything you receive from us is the sole property of Cosmetic College and any attempt to copy or use without our consent or share any part of our material with any third party will be prosecuted. You can not publish nor share any of our training manuals, materials, pictures or videos through any medium without our consent nor you can share it with anyone else.
Training Delivery Methods
1. In-Person Training
- Delivered physically at our campus in small, fixed groups.
- Some courses include required online training, which may be required to be completed before attending in-person sessions. Failure to complete online training, where required, will result in rescheduling of your training, subject to a £100 administration fee.
- Accreditation is only granted after completion of all course components, subject to satisfactory assessment inline with the training courses requirements.
2. Online Training
- Self-directed learning through our e-learning platform.
- Accreditation may be automatically fulfilled upon course completion, subject to the assessment criteria of the online training course.
Fees and Payments
1. Administration Fees
- A non-refundable administration fee of £100 per training course is required upon enrolment.
- Changes to your enrolment within 14 days of the course start date will incur an additional £100 administration fee per amendment.
- Administration fees are non-refundable in any circumstance.
2. Awarding Body Registration Fees
- When a student enrols with the Cosmetic College it is required for us to register the student with applicable awarding bodies, subject to the training course the student has been enrolled onto.
- At the point of student onboarding, the registration fee will be paid by the Cosmetic College to the awarding body of the qualification. Paid registration fees are non-refundable in any circumstance.
3. Deposits
- Deposits are 10% of the enrolment total or £100, whichever is greater. This deposit includes the non-refundable £100 administration fee per course.
4. Course Fees
- Full payment or finance arrangements for payment must be in place at least 14 days before the training course start date. Failure to meet this deadline results in cancellation of training and the forfeiture of any and all fees paid.
Payment Methods
- We accept various payment methods, including finance agreements through partnered providers. If you elect to pay for your training via a finance partner we introduce you to, a 14-day cooling-off period applies. After this cooling off period, finance agreements are binding and non-refundable.
- Irrespective of the payment method used for your training, administration fees and registration fees per training course in your enrolment are non-refundable.
Cancellations and Refunds
1. Cancellation by Students
If cancelling 14 or more days before the training course start date, students can:
- Reschedule without fee
- Request A Refund (Direct Payment): Refunds will be processed minus the applicable administration fee and registration fee per training course included in the enrolment - provided no costs have been incurred by the Cosmetic College in arrangement of the training for the student
- Request A Refund (Finance): Students will be ineligible for a refund, when paying for their training via a finance partner we have introduced you to, if the cooling off period of 14 days has elapsed.
If cancelling within 14 days, up until 48 hours prior to the course start date,
- Students can reschedule a training course by paying an additional £100 administration fee
- Students are ineligible for any refund in any circumstance
If cancelling or rescheduling within 48 hours amendments are subject to the Late Notice Cancellation Charge.
2. Failure to Attend
- Students who fail to attend scheduled training or complete their training will have their course cancelled, with all paid fees retained and non-refundable.
3. Late Notice Cancellation Charge
- Amendments to training which are requested within or after the 48 hour notice point will incur a Late Notice Cancellation Charge of £250 to maintain and keep open their training enrolment. Failure to pay the Late Notice Cancellation Charge will result int their training being cancelled, with all paid fees retained and non-refundable.
4. Cancellation by Cosmetic College
- We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify training sessions. In such cases, we will provide at least 48 hours' notice where possible. We are not liable for any student costs related to these changes.
5. Refunds for Promotional Course Bundles
- Promotional bundles are non-refundable once any part of the bundle is accessed, started or completed. Refunds may be issued only if no courses in the bundle have been started and a cancellation request is received at least 14 days prior to the course start date with respect to all other terms and conditions
Amendments To Training
The Cosmetic College reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or modify onsite training courses at any time providing students with, where possible, a minimum 48 hours notice of such cancellation or amendment to their training. In certain unforeseen circumstances less notice could be provided, however all other alternative options would be exhausted prior to providing cancellation notice within 48 hours of a training date.
The Cosmetic College does not accept any liability to individual students costs with regards to attendance of onsite training courses, irrespective of costs incurred due to cancellation or scheduling amendments to their training.
Certificates
Upon completion of your training you will be provided with your accredited certificate. This certificate is a digital certificate in PDF format. It will automatically be emailed to your registered account email once your course has been successfully completed and will be available within your online account on the Cosmetic College website.
Students will receive an accredited E–Certificate with all purchased online courses.
All of our courses are accredited by ABT and or CPD Accreditation Group; students will receive CPD points with all of our CPD courses exact amount can be found on the course information page and supporting course documentation provided after enrolment.
If you would like a hard copy of your accredited certificate, you can purchase one at an additional cost of £9.99. To request this, you can email courses@cosmetic.college to purchase an additional certificate.
Models for Assessment
It is the student's responsibility to arrange a model for assessments required for their training courses. In some cases, we have a model list that we can reach out to and promote the treatments to; however, we cannot always guarantee a model for your assessment therefore securing a model for your assessment, which can be family or friend, is important. The treatment for them will be complimentary.
Course Kits
Course Kits are optionally included with specific courses and are available as paid add ons to some courses. Whether a course kit is included or not is clearly stated on the website and in choices available when checking out your purchase. Students can purchase kits also via our website if the course they are purchasing does not include a kit. Students can purchase the kit by adding it to the checkout basket with their course of choice.
Name change
We can only change the name on the certificate up until the course has been finalised and a certificate issued and there is a reasonable explanation for why it needs to be changed. This prevents multiple downloads of different names on anyone individuals certificate that has only been purchased once.
International students
Beauty service regulations differ between countries, and it is the student’s responsibility to check the requirements necessary to practice in the country that they reside. The Cosmetic College is not responsible for meeting any regulations that individuals need to comply with regarding their own country’s insurance and standards.
Insurance
Once qualified students are responsible for acquisition of their own insurance. Cosmetic College can provide referrals to students to insurance brokers. Students will not hold liable any inability to acquire insurance against Cosmetic College.
Amendments to terms and conditions for Online only training
Course fees and/or administration fees are non-refundable in any circumstance once a purchase for an online training course has been completed.
Amendments to purchases of training packages
When purchasing a training package, this will contain a number of training courses included within it. From the date of purchase you will have 12 months in order to successfully complete the training courses included within your package.
Liability and Disclaimers
- Cosmetic College is not liable for any personal injuries, damages, or losses incurred during training, including while using models. Students must have their own insurance if required for practical courses.
- We are not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of our website or course materials. All information provided is for educational purposes only.
Student Responsibilities
- Students are responsible for ensuring they meet all course prerequisites, including necessary qualifications and bringing any required materials or models to practical sessions.
- Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in dismissal from the course without refund.
Models
The Cosmetic College offers significantly discounted treatments to Model clients in order to support the delivery of training in order for students to gain practical experience in their training.
These sessions are offered at discounted rates with the following terms and conditions, which you agree to when placing a model booking:
- Each model session can be delivered by either a tutor or a student under tutor supervision at the Cosmetic College's discretion
- By placing a model booking the Cosmetic College provides no guarantee or assurance that the booking will proceed as this is subject to training needs. By placing a model booking this is provisional up until it has been confirmed by a member of the Cosmetic College team. By placing a model booking the scheduled date and time of the booking is subject to change to align with training requirements.
- Where appropriate model requests for treatment of specific areas or regions will be considered at the Cosmetic College's discretion
- By placing a model session booking you agree, consent and waive any right to refund of model fees, except in the event where the session is cancelled by the Cosmetic College
- Non attendance to your scheduled model session will result in cancellation and forfeit of any fees paid for the session in which you failed to attend
- Each model is required to and provides consent and an irrevocable licence to use any and all photos/videos/digital media captured in their model session for training, advertising and marketing purposes. In addition, I waive any rights to inspect or approve photos/videos/digital media used for training, advertising and marketing purposes.
- The Cosmetic College reserves the right to cancel model bookings at any time without the need to provide explanation.
Promotional Offers
Periodically the Cosmetic College provides promotional offers and packages delivering higher levels of value for money invested in your training. These offers have the following terms:
- Discount codes can not be used against training courses which are already advertised at a discounted price
- Discount codes are not valid to be used against packages or bundles of training
- Discount codes are only valid against non-discounted standalone training courses
- Discount codes are not valid to be used against starter or training kits
Payment Terms and Conditions with Klarna
In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment methods. Payment is to be made to Klarna. 18+, Ts&Cs apply, Credit subject to status.
- Pay in 14 days: The payment period is 14 days from the availability date of the service. You can find the complete terms and conditions for the markets where this payment method is available here.
- Direct Debit: Your account will be debited after shipment of the goods or tickets/ availability date of the service or in case of a subscription according to the timelines communicated. You will be notified about the date(s) by email.
Pay in 3/Pay in 30 Days, and direct debit are only available in case of a positive credit assessment. For this purpose, during the order process and handling of your purchase, we forward your data for an address and credit check to Klarna. We can only offer you the payment methods available based on the credit check result.
